Background
Founded in 1936 with donations from community residents, Rowan Regional Medical Center is a 268-bed hospital celebrating its 75th anniversary.
Objective
Rowan Regional Medical Center marked its 75th Anniversary in 2011 and wanted to involve the community in its big celebration. Rowan Regional’s continued goal is to increase awareness of its successes, achievements and services, boost its Facebook fan base, build community involvement and direct neighbors to the hospital in their “own backyard.”
Deliverables
ABZ connected the community to the hospital through the ongoing theme, “CommYOUnity,” which was utilized in print and online ads, social media and various outdoor advertising. Banners on light poles around campus, elevator wraps, window and wall cling decals communicated the year-long celebration throughout the hospital. A loyal employee of 57 years was featured as an emblem of Rowan’s accomplishments.
Results
Rowan Regional was able to nurture the marriage between the hospital and the community and reiterate that it will continue to provide leading quality scores, excellent patient care and the latest in healthcare technologies. It’s what neighbors do.
